By popular request I have included some pictures of an MRI scanner and various exam positions.  The featured scanner is a Siemens Espree wide bore 1.5 Tesla scanner.  Most MRI machines are not this spacious.  If you are claustrophobic you will do well to search your local area for a scanner like this.  Most manufacturers now make a wide bore model but few make the bore (tunnel) as short as Siemens does.  This particular unit is on a mobile truck and travels between several facilities.
